Our Founder
Molly Williams
also known as “Mother Sky”
Molly Williams is the founder of both the Center for Women & Girls and Global Heartprints, the creative company that develops and stewards the original intellectual property behind JOY & The Shooting Stars and Shooting Star School.
Molly brings more than two decades of nonprofit leadership experience, having spent 23 years supporting youth and communities through mission-driven organizations before embarking on a deeply personal journey to rediscover her own joy, creativity, and sense of purpose.
That journey led her back to music.
After a period of serious illness that forced her to step away from work, Molly turned to singing and songwriting as a form of healing. What began as a personal act of courage — learning guitar and finding her voice — soon became something more. During the early days of the pandemic, she began making music alongside her friends’ daughters, and Miss Molly’s Musical Magic was born. That spark would eventually grow into JOY & The Shooting Stars.
Molly’s creative work is rooted in a lifelong commitment to empowering women and girls. She understands firsthand the exhaustion that can come from constant giving, and the deep longing many young people feel to be truly seen, heard, and supported. Through story, music, and shared creative experience, she seeks to help young people reconnect with their inner light.
Today, Molly’s original musical JOY & The Shooting Stars and its companion program, Shooting Star School, are delivered through the Center for Women & Girls under license from Global Heartprints — bringing the work into schools and communities in a way that is thoughtful, sustainable, and mission-aligned.
At the heart of everything Molly creates is a simple belief: when people feel safe to be themselves, they remember who they are — and they begin to SHINE!
